MISSION

Student Life at CCBC is guided to:

  • Complement the academic mission of the College
  • Advocate equality and inclusiveness and to demonstrate excellence in student life
  • Facilitate an academic atmosphere through co-curricular activities that enrich students, faculty, staff and community
  • Promote an educational program to facilitate the goals synonymous with overall student
    development and student success

GOALS FOR STUDENT LIFE

  1. To complement the academic mission of the College.
  2. To develop group leader and member skills.
  3. To develop opportunities to acquire knowledge of specific subject matter of special interest to students.
  4. To develop increased competence in leadership.
  5. To develop increased competence in administrative and organization techniques.
  6. To develop increased competence in decision making.
  7. To develop increased competence in group process.
  8. To develop increased competence in interpersonal communication.
  9. To develop critical thinking skills and encourage greater inquiry toward learning and fact finding.
  10. To develop the student’s capacity for critical decision making and assessment of needs and resources.
  11. To enhance the student’s success-oriented behavior toward realizing maximum potential in the community.
  12. To develop the student’s capacity for self-actualization.
  13. To enhance the student’s capability for value, goal, attitude, interpersonal relations and social consciousness development.
  14. To enhance personal integration of thought, feeling and learning.
  15. To develop an appreciation for diversity (cultural, racial, ethnic, etc.) in all its many forms.
