BUILDING MAINTENANCE

INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE, CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION, CONSTRUCTION, CONSTRUCTION TRADES, HVAC

Lubricants $75, $45 seniors
Industrial maintenance mechanics will learn the physical properties and industrial applications of lubricants, how to store and the record keeping involved. Topics will include types of lubricants, which are used in different applications, and their storage, handling and dispensing. Lecture only, no lab work associated with this course.

Pump Packing $95, $65 seniors
Industrial maintenance mechanics will learn how to take the old packing out and install new packing in centrifugal pumps both at the work site and at the work bench. Cover the nomenclature of parts, packing failures, materials used, lubricants used, and the factors that influence the type to be used for given situations.

Industrial Measurements
Total Cost: $600 (Tuition: $340 Fees: $260)

Defines the basic units of industrial measurement which include linear measurements, surface measurements, fluid measurements, and temperture measurements; emphasis will be placed on linear measurements and the use of precision measuring tools.

Basic Electricity for Maintenance Technicians
Total Cost: $510 (Tuition: $185 Fees: $325)

This course includes resistance, voltage, current and power, P&G OSHA qualification test, schematic symbols and diagrams, voltage, current and resistance using Ohm's law, the ability to safely and accurately read a voltmeter and ohmmeter, and proper size wire type of insulation for any wiring job.
