BASKET WEAVING

Advanced Basket Weaving: Nantucket Basket
Want to create a woven masterpiece with roots that go back to the early part of our country? This is it! Weave a 6" Nantucket basket on a mold with solid wood bottom, handle and woven with caning. Nantuckets are gorgeous and expensive! We will rent the molds and make a lovely heirloom for a fraction of the price of buying one. This is an advanced class and experience in weaving is required. Supplies, including mold rental is $95 payable at the first class.

Rag Rug Weaving
Explore the traditional techniques of rug weaving by using found materials such as bed sheets, old t-shirts or other repurposed materials. Transform them into a colorful floor rug. Introduction to Felting
Learn the basics of wet felting. Transforming colorful wool fibers into felt is a wonderfully engaging and sensory rich process using warm, soapy water and gentle rubbing of your hands. Advanced Crochet
Explore the many ways crochet can be used to create one-of-a-kind items from sweaters that fit to works of fiber art. If you know basic crochet stitches but are tired of making blankets and scarves, push your skills further.
