U.S. Sailing Basic Smallboat Certification
Total Cost: $209 (Tuition: $60 Fees: $144)
Learn to sail on the clean, open waters of Rocky Point Park. The Baltimore County Sailing Center offer adult sailing lessons, no experience is necessary. Certified Instructors teach rigging, safety, steering, and sail trim. After completion of this course, students are eligible for a US Sailing SMALL BOAT CERTIFICATION, advanced classes, racing, and future use of BCSC boats.

U.S. Sailing Basic Keelboat Certification
Total Cost: $599 (Tuition: $94 Fees: $505)
Experience the exhilaration and responsibly of skippering a fully rigged 23 foot sailing vessel. Sense the freedom sailing provides as your boat glides past the historic landmarks of Baltimore's waterfront and slips into the upper reaches of the Chesapeake Bay. Raise the sails and learn about boat handling skills, line handling, casting off, tacking and jibing, setting and trimming sails. Practice overboard recovery methods, knot tying, crew coordination and communication. Introduce yourself to unbounded world of sailing. CCBC and the Downtown Sailing Center now offer this comprehensive hands-on 40 hour sailing program for those who have little or no sailing experience. The nationally recognized US Sailing certification will be presented to each student who successfully meets the standards of this course.

S.C.U.B.A. Diving Certification Prep Course

This non-credit diving certification course offers students an opportunity to experience the exciting sport of SCUBA diving. Experienced professional diving instructors will explain the physics, physiology, and procedures associated with modern-day diving using classroom lecture and pool exercises. Equipment to be furnished by the student: Mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves. All other equipment will be provided by the instructional staff.
