2006-2007 CCBC College Catalog
Student Life
CCBC’s student activity programs are learning
centered and based upon the assumption that involvement in student
activities should be a component of any education.
Participation in academic and social experiences provides the ideal
learning laboratory in which students can develop skills as group
leaders and members. Involved students develop greater understanding of
and increased competence in leadership, organizational techniques, group
processes and communication. They also acquire skills and knowledge in
specific areas of interest. Student organizations and events are funded
by the activity fees collected at registration.
For more information about any of the programs below, contact your

Orientation
Orientation helps new
students transition into the college environment. The focus of
orientation is on helping students understand what is expected of them
and what they should expect from CCBC. The orientation programs also
offer information on campus services, facilities, academic advisement
and course registration.
Student Housing
The Student Life office
provides a resource service for assisting students in finding housing
near campus. Contact your campus Student Life office for more
information.
Campus student governments
Like all student
activities, the Student Government Association contributes to the social
and intellectual development of students. All students of CCBC are
members of the Student Government Association and may participate to
varying degrees. See Clubs and Organizations for a list of other clubs,
organizations and volunteer opportunities.
