Counseling program
The Counseling centers of CCBC offer programs and services designed to help students stay in school and achieve their goals. Licensed mental health professionals help students address problems that interfere with learning and academic performance. Services include individual counseling, skill building, workshops, crisis intervention and referral to college and community resources. Counseling is confidential and never included in the academic record.

Typical concerns explored in counseling include:

  • Dealing with pressures of college, work and home
  • Managing time demands
  • Lack of academic success
  • Feeling tense, anxious, overwhelmed or fearful
  • Loneliness and depression
  • Low self-esteem
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Traumatic experience
  • Learning disabilities
