Admission procedures for students still in high school
All students under the age of 16 are required to have a pre-admission
interview with the director of Admissions before taking next steps to
enroll. Placement testing may also be
required. In addition, students must meet with an academic advisor each
semester prior to registration. For more information contact a CCBC

The Community College of Baltimore County reserves the right to admit
secondary school students on a case-by-case basis.
Parallel Enrollment Program (PEP)
PEP gives
Baltimore County high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to earn
college credits while still in high school at half the regular
in-county tuition rate.

Gifted and Talented students
Students under the age of 16 may be considered for admission to CCBC if
they:

Have completed seventh grade in a public or private secondary school
-
Are enrolled in a recognized gifted or talented program or
-
Possess documented academic ability or documented ability in the
creative, performing or visual arts or
-
Have scored 550 or better in verbal and/or math on the SAT
To apply, students must submit the following to the Admissions office
30 days prior to the start of classes:

Application for Admission and $15 application fee

Official secondary school transcript

Early Admission Consent Form \

Letter of recommendation documenting academic, creative, visual or
performing arts abilities, and maturity level
Home-schooled students
Students who are
enrolled in home school instruction may apply to CCBC if they:

Have completed seventh grade
-
Are enrolled in a supervised and approved Maryland State Department of
Education home instruction program
To apply, students must submit the following to the Admissions office
30 days prior to the start of classes:

Application for Admission and $15 application fee

Official secondary school transcript

SAT or ACT scores (if available)

Early Admission Consent Form
