Straight to the Goal

This soccer camp focuses on boys and girls of all skill levels. Coach Walcott comes to CCBC Catonsville with years of experience working with youth, club and high school age players. Campers will benefit from his profound knowledge and experience teaching skills and game tactics. All campers are guaranteed to take something special back to their respective teams and organizations following this experience.
Our coaching staff consists of highly trained and qualified individuals. Our camp counselors are fully prepared to work with you and to take care of all of your needs and concerns. You will go into your upcoming soccer season with more confidence than you have ever had before. The camp will be utilizing CCBC Catonsville's excellent facilities and grounds in order that campers have the full week’s experience regardless of weather.
Make sure that you review our curriculum which has been specially prepared to ensure that everything you need to become a better player is included.

"STRAIGHT TO THE GOAL" SOCCER CAMP CURRICULUM

DAY I
Running with the ball/Dribbling:
1. Fun warm-up game
2. Running with the ball – technical exercise, 2-team relay game.
3. Dribbling – technical exercises using all surfaces, both feet, do what I do, gates, musical cones.
4. Small-sided games.

DAY II
Ballwork:
1. Warm-up – each player with a ball, ball tricks, juggling.
2. Moves – attacking and defensive/shielding.
3. ½ number balls to players, 1v1 games, 2v2 games.
4. Scrimmage – bonus points for a move.
5. Short session on heading.

DAY III
Passing/receiving:
1. Warm-up – groups of 3 passing and moving in the same area
2. Types of passes – give ‘n go, let ball run, lay-off, dropped pass, to feet, into run, takeover, overlap.
3. Back in 3’s to try each type of pass.
4. Scrimmage – multiple goals, 3v3.
5. 2-team game to target player.

DAY IV
Shooting:
1. Warm-up – 2 teams goal in the middle, shoot ‘n save.
2. Shooting – techniques, surfaces, angles, on-the-run, redirect etc.
3. Individual shooting off passes and runs.
4. 2-team shooting game.
5. Scrimmage with goals close together (30-40 yds).

DAY V
Tournaments:
1. 1v1 tournament.
2. 3v3 Dutch tournament.
3. Girls vs Boys?
