Camp Selections

The CCBC Catonsville winter baseball camps are designed as pre season warm up camps for student athletes ages 8-18. The camps aid participants in the development of the fundamental skills necessary to become successful baseball players. The camps are directed by the coaches of the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals baseball program which has won 11 Maryland JUCO Conference and 4 NJCAA Region XX championships in its illustrious history. Other camp staff will include current Cardinals baseball players and local coaches who bring a wealth of experience from the collegiate and high school levels. All partici¬pants will receive a t-shirt and have access to one of the top indoor baseball facilities in the area, the CCBC Catonsville Athletic and Wellness Center, which includes a batting cage, soft toss nets, indoor mounds, three gyms, and a state of the art weight room. Each participant should bring a glove, bat, soft soled tennis shoes, and any personal equipment labeled with their name.

Baseball #1 Designed as a pre-season camp to cover all aspects of baseball hitting in a one hour Monday evening practice slot. Participants will receive instruction in fundamental hitting drills and techniques. All campers will receive multiple repetitions, drill work, and batting practice off of pitching machines and/or live arms each night. Please note that this camp is designed for players between the ages of 14-18.

Baseball #3 Designed as a pre-season camp to cover all aspects of baseball hitting in a one hour Sunday afternoon practice slot. Participants will receive instruction in fundamental hitting drills and techniques. All campers will receive multiple repetitions, drill work, and batting practice off of pitching machines and/or live arms each day. Please note that this camp is designed for players between the ages of 14-18.

Baseball #4 Designed as a pre-season throwing camp to help the participants get ready for their spring season. Participants will receive instruction on pitching mechanics as well as instruction on the mound while throwing. CCBC Catonsville will provide the catchers for the instruction. Throwing times will be assigned based upon the order of registration. Please note that this camp is designed for players between the ages of 14-18.
Dates: Thursdays January 21, 28 and February 4,11,18, 2010
Time: 8:00 p.m. (groups of eight) and 8:30 p.m. (groups of eight)

Designed as a pre-season camp to cover all aspects of baseball pitching. Participants will receive instruction on defense, conditioning/ strengthening tips, pick- off plays, and pitching mechanics as well as instruction on the mound. Please note that this camp is designed for players between the ages of 8-13.

Ages: 8 -13
Cost: $75.00

Baseball #7 Designed as a pre-season camp to cover all aspects of baseball catching.
Participants will receive instruction on the fundamental skills of catching including throwing, receiving, and blocking plus multiple repetitions through drills. Please bring your own catchers gear. Please note that this camp is designed for players between the ages of 12-18.

Baseball #8 Designed as a pre-season camp to cover all aspects of baseball except for pitching and catching. This camp is designed to provide the participants with the most swings and fielding chances of any pre season camp in the Baltimore Metro area. Participants will receive weekly instruction on fundamental skills for offense, defense, base running, as well as conditioning/ strengthening tips. All campers will receive multiple repetitions, drill work, and batting practice off of pitching machines and/or live arms each day. Please note that this camp is designed for players between the ages of 10-16.
Dates: Sunday’s January 24, 31, February 7, 14, 21, 2010
Time: 8:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Place: Athletic and Wellness Center (Gym)
Ages: 10-16
Cost: $150.00
