Each year, the Alumni Association nominates and selects a Distinguished Alumnus, highlighting their career success and contributions to CCBC.
Mr. Carper is the Division Vice President at the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company and is the 2023 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. His career achievements, philanthropic contributions and enthusiasm to CCBC, our students, programs and community is commendable.

Any member of CCBC Alumni Association and/or CCBC graduate including the former Catonsville, Essex or Dundalk Community College may be selected by the committee to receive a Distinguished Alumni Award. Individuals running for elected office during their active campaign period or a current alumni board member will not be considered.
Any member of CCBC (alumni, faculty, students, administrators or support staff) may nominate a qualified person for the Distinguished Alumni Award. The nomination must be submitted to the Alumni Relations Office for consideration.
