First Week CCBC
New and returning students on all CCBC campuses are invited to get information, free gifts and 2011-2012 Student Handbook during First Week CCBC. The event will be held at: CCBC Catonsville (800 S. Through War and Peace: A 10th Anniversary Commemoration of September 11, 2001
The Music, Theater and Dance programs will present a special performance commemorating the 10th anniversary of the American tragedy of 9-11. Join us at 12:20 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9, in the J Building Lecture Hall at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard, for relevant and moving choral and musical works, poetry readings and letters and dance interpretations. Seating is limited.

Children’s Playhouse of Maryland Fifth Annual Fundraising Gala
Enjoy a silent auction and raffles at 6:30 p.m., full performance of “The Music Man, Jr.” at 7:30 p.m., followed by a reception at this annual event. The gala fundraiser will be held in the B Building Theatre Lounge and Mainstage at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard.

Spotlight Speakers Series – Rebecca Walker
Rebecca Walker, an award-winning author, journalist, editor, and speaker, is the September Spotlight Speaker at 12:30 p.m., Sept. 28, in the at CCBC Catonsville, 800 S. Rolling Road. Her memoir, "Black White and Jewish," was a bestseller, and her follow up book about pregnancy and birth, "Baby Love," initiated international debate about the role of motherhood in feminism.
