CCBC Essex ranked #1 in NJCAA Men’s Lacrosse poll
Knights' top ranking comes on heels of defeating prior #1-ranked team, Onondaga
Baltimore County, Md. – The CCBC Essex Knights Men’s Lacrosse Team is ranked #1 in the National Junior College Athletic Association’s (NJCAA) Men’s Lacrosse National Coaches Poll released earlier today. The Knights, under first year head coach, Shawn Burke, defeated Onondaga Community College, the previous #1 team in last week’s NJCAA poll, on Saturday, March 13, 2010 by a final score of 22-19.
With that victory, CCBC Essex’s record now stands at 3-0 overall (1-0 MD JUCO). The team returns to action on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 7:30 PM when MD JUCO foe, Anne Arundel Community College, #4 in the NJCAA poll, visits the Knights at the CCBC Essex Stadium field.
