CCBC’s 9th Annual Women’s Expo Slated for March 13-14 at CCBC Catonsville
‘Everything you wanted to know about business but were afraid to ask’
Exhibitors, Workshops, Lectures 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Gym
Baltimore County, Md. – More than 1,200 people attended last year’s CCBC’s Women’s Expo held at the Community College of Baltimore County’s Catonsville campus. And CCBC’s Sue Fowler, one of the original organizers of the event, expects even more this year. This year’s CCBC Women’s Expo will feature more than 150 exhibitors (many of whom are women entrepreneurs), workshops, and lectures.
The two-day event will run from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, March 13-14, in the Gym (Building L) at CCBC Catonsville, 800 South Rolling Road. The Book Lover’s Café, a favorite, will again be held from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., both days, in the H Building, cafeteria. Tickets are $6 per person per day at the door. Admission for students and military with IDs is free.
“The CCBC Women’s Expo attracts entrepreneurial women and men from all over the state,” notes Fowler. “The CCBC Catonsville Chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) created this event to strengthen awareness of CCBC’s many programs for the community, especially the business community, and to raise funds for scholarships for students at the campus. Today, the CCBC Women’s Expo, which provides information, education and networking opportunities for men and women in business, has truly become “Everything you wanted to know about business but were afraid to ask.”
Fowler, a member of the CCBC Catonsville Chapter of AAWCC, is one of many CCBC Catonsville staffers who volunteer time and expertise at this annual fundraiser. To date, the event has raised more than $125,000 for AAWCC scholarship support for CCBC Catonsville students.
