Music Association at CCBC Essex produces digital Christmas album
‘Pi Theta Eta does Christmas – 2010’

Baltimore County, Md. – Music students at CCBC Essex performed, recorded, mixed and mastered a new CD “Pi Theta Eta does Christmas” as a class project this fall and the result is a beautifully orchestrated eight-track collection of traditional Christmas music.

The album includes classic holiday favorites:

• “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” with Lindsay Spiegel of Hydes, Md. on vocal and piano;

• “What Child is This?” with Shelby Guilday of Parkville, Md. on piano and Kevin Klein of Perry Hall, Md. on cello;

• “Carol of the Bells” with vocals by Justin Burley of Towson, Md., Taylar Clough of Dundalk, Md., Sinead Fahey of Parkville, Md. and William Moody of Baltimore, Md.;

• “O Come, O Come Emanuel” sung by Justin Burley;

• “Silent Night” sung by Andrea Richardson of Baltimore, Md., accompanied by Dennard Watson of Baltimore, Md. on piano;

• “O Holy Night” with vocals by Sinead Fahey, Shelby Guilday and Kevin Klein, and

• “O Come All Ye Faithful” sung by Amanda Blood of Rosedale, Md. and Shelby Guilday.

The digital album was produced by Neil Delimont of Monkton, Md. (Master Engineer), Arshia Zamani of Sparks, Md. (Executive Producer), Artem Bank of Reisterstown, Md. (Assistant Producer) and members of the class of Music 142—Greg Hargest of Parkville, Md., Carl Hengen of Baltimore, Md., Stephanie Reynolds of Nottingham, Md., Graham Miller of Hunt Valley, Md., Josh Shank of Essex, Md. and Justin Feinberg of Owings Mills, Md.

Faculty support for this project came from Patti Crossman, professor of Music, Brian Comotto and John Suchy, adjunct Music faculty, and Ron Gretz, professor of Music.

The digital album is available for download for a nominal fee of $5 at http://pithetaeta.bandcamp.com. All proceeds will go toward further efforts of Pi Theta Eta to promote music.
